About Us
East Pierce serves a population of more than 95,000 in the cities of Milton, Edgewood Bonney Lake, Sumner, in addition to the unincorporated areas of Lake Tapps, the Ridge Communities, South Prairie and Tehaleh. The district covers approximately 153 square miles and protects residents from six staffed and three volunteer fire stations, one logistics station, and one facility on Lake Tapps for the marine rescue unit.
All full-time firefighters are cross-trained as either emergency medical technicians (EMTs) or paramedics and are able to respond to both medical emergencies and fires.
